If you're reading this soon after posting (summer '14), it's not yet time to worry about the DSM-5 for the social work licensing exam. The national ASWB exam doesn't change over to DSM-5 until July '15. (California makes the switch starting December '14.) Still, you may be curious about what's what inside that big purple volume. Here's a free webinar by Dr. Jeffrey Nevid about the big changes. Note: The talk occurred before the DSM-5 had gone to press, so can't be relied upon completely. But then, once it's crucial for you to know and/or use the DSM-5, you'll probably have one handy. In the meantime, you're 49 minutes from being closer to knowing what's what and why it got that way.
